Después del repaso de la primera parte del tema nos metemos en profundidad con la civilización que más tiempo y territorio conquistó: The Romans.

Como siempre iremos a nuestra presentación y en la primera página pincharemos en The Romans. Nos llevará a una infografía en la que pincharemos en orden en cada una de las imágenes.

Hoy estudiaremos las dos primeras: The Roman Conquest and The Roman Legacy.

Hoy estudiaremos una tercera civilización que vivió en la Península Ibérica durante la Edad Antigua. Los Cartagineses (Carthaginians).

En la presentación tenéis quiénes eran, de dónde venían, qué ciudades fundaron y cómo vivieron.

Después de ver la presentación haremos estas actividades:

Hoy vamos a conocer otra civilización antigua que vivió en la Península Ibérica durante la Edad Antigua: Los Griegos. Con esta presentación conoceréis quienes eran, de dónde venían, cómo vivían y en qué fueron buenos.

Después de la presentación responderéis a estas preguntas en vuestro cuaderno. Recordad escribir la fecha y los enunciados.

Finalmente os propongo una actividad voluntaria de ampliación. Decorar un Ánfora (vasija griega) acorde a cómo lo hacían los griegos. Aquí os dejo unos ejemplos, podéis buscar otros y hacer vuestros propios diseños.

Ya sabemos que durante la Edad Antigua muchas civilizaciones poblaron el planeta. Algunas de ellas llegaron a la Península Ibérica:

• Los fenicios (Phoenicians)
• Los cartagineses (Carthaginians)
• Los griegos (Ancient Greeks)
• Los romanos (Ancient Romans)

Vamos a conocer cada una de estas civilizaciones un poco más. Hoy comenzamos con los Fenicios.

Tarea 18 de mayo

Comenzamos un nuevo tema y continuamos con Historia. Recordemos en una línea del tiempo las diferentes etapas de la historia y cuando empiezan y acaban cada una.

Para ello aquí tenéis una infografía. Nota: lo que aquí llaman Early Modern Age es la Edad Moderna y lo que llaman Modern Age es la Edad Contemporánea. 

Una vez hecho el repaso a las diferentes etapas de la historia nos centramos en la que nos va a ocupar las próximas 2 semanas: La Edad Antigua o Ancient Age.

Comenzaremos viendo un vídeo resumen de lo más importante de esta etapa histórica y posteriormente responderemos a unas preguntas en nuestro cuaderno:

QUESTIONS:

3. What ancient civilizations are named in the video?
4. Look in your book and find out which of the  civilizations in the video lived in the Iberian Peninsula.

DIFFERENCES:  

The Celts lived in roundhouses. The Iberians built rectangular buildings. 

The Celts’ economy was based on farming and metal working. The Iberians were farmers metal workers and traders. 

The Celts lived in rural communities. The Iberians developed urban settlements. 

SIMILARITIES 

They both were metal workers and farmers. 

They both built high walls around their villages for protection.
